Frequently Asked Questions
Are your traffic school courses state-approved?
Yes, all of our courses are state-approved and certified by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
How do I know which traffic school I need to take?
Our 4-Hour Basic Driver Improvement course is for motorists who are looking to dismiss a traffic ticket, fulfill a court order, or keep your license as a result of running a red light or stop sign, reckless driving, racing, or failing to stop for a school bus.
Traffic school is also a requirement for license holders to keep their driving privileges if:
- the driver was in a crash and at fault and
- someone was taken to the hospital or
- the driver had two crashes in two years, which resulted in damaged property that exceeded $50.
If you were ordered by a judge, you may need the 8-hour intermediate driver improvement (judge-ordered) course. Finally, if you need to reinstate your driver's license, you will need the 12-hour Advanced Driver Improvement course.
I am not a resident of Florida and I got a ticket while visiting, can I still take the 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement course?
Yes, you can take this course. Once you have successfully completed the course you must submit your certificate to the Florida court location listed on the traffic ticket.
Can I get an insurance discount upon completing traffic school?
Yes, depending on your insurance company, you may get an insurance discount if you take traffic school.
How long is the online traffic school?
Depending on the course, the state requires all students to spend the minimum time required. This can be 4, 8 or 12 hours.
Do I have to take the course in one sitting?
No, unlike the classroom setting where you may have to take the course in one sitting, the benefits of taking this online traffic school is that once you have registered, you can log in and out of the course as many times as you wish, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you log out, our system remembers where you were and when you log back in it will return you to the same point.
When will I get my certificate of completion?
Once you have successfully completed the course, you'll choose the delivery method that best fits your situation, with rush options available.
Can I get my certificate the same day?
Yes. Upon successful completion of the course, you'll have the option to upgrade to rush delivery of your certificate.
